Annual Function Check and Calibration of Flow Switches Low Low / FSLL (SWITCH FLOW LOW LOW STABILIZER HEATER):

Annual Function Check and Calibration of Flow Switches Low Low / FSLL (SWITCH FLOW LOW LOW STABILIZER HEATER):

TASK TO BE PERFORMED:

1. Annual Function Check and Calibration of Flow Switches Low Low.
2. Inspect Flow Switch for any physical damage.
3. Ensure Flow Switch is securely mounted.
4. Check impulse lines are securely fastened.
5. Check drain valves are closed.
6. Inspect impulse lines connections for leaks.
7. Check manifold connections for leaks.
8. Check drain plug connections on Flow Switch body for leaks.
9. Ensure drain valves are plugged and there are no leaks.
10. Ensure differential switch glass is secured correctly and is not cracked or broken.
11. Check differential switch pointer for any pulsation.
12. Inspect electrical signal cable for any physical damage.
13. Check cable gland is secure.
14. Inspect switches for any excessive wear on actuating lever.
15. Inspect switches for any misalignment or damage.
16. Check all terminations are secure.
17. Open Bypass valve, isolate sensing lines, drain and vent housings.
18. Note
19. Care should be taken during venting process as some lines may contain hazardous fluids. PPE should be worn.
20. Check that the Flow switch indicates zero differentials, adjust as required.
21. Calibrate Flow Switch to + or - 1% of range in increments of 20% both rising and falling pressure, adjusting zero and span as required.
22. Note
23 Switches, to be calibrated against Wallace and Tiernan Pneumatic calibrator.
24. Adjust switch to the required set point.
25. Check that the Switch has activated. Adjust as required.
26. Check that the Low Low Alarm has been received in control Room.
27. Repeat steps 20 TO 26 till correct set point has been obtained.
28. Complete Instrument Calibration Sheet.
29. Ensure all drain points are securely closed off.
30. Check all disturbed connections for leaks using soap solution.
31. Complete Instrument Calibration Sheet.
32. Affix calibrated Flow switch with label giving date of calibration and tag number.
33. De-isolate sensing lines and close by-pass valve.
34. Return Pressure Differential switch to service.
35. ENSURE ANY OVERRIDE IS REMOVED AND AUGUST SYSTEM RETURNED TO NORMAL MODE.
36. Sign-off Work Permit and return to operations.
37. Report all findings to supervision and document in CMMS.
