Roxar Analyser Transmitter 6 Monthly Instrument Preventive Maintenance AT

Note: Prior to Commencing this task obtain the information required is as follows:

A) Span is 4 to 20 milliamps.
B) Relay actuation Set point.
C) Cut calibration (grind out value).
D) Temperature coefficient.
All these values may be entered with the three buttons located on the front of the water cut monitor.

TASKS TO BE PERFORMED:

1. Annual Function Check and Calibration of Invalco Analyser Transmitter.
2. Inspect Analyser Transmitters for any physical damage.
3. Ensure Transmitter is securely mounted.
4. Inspect electrical cable and fitting for any physical damage.
5. Check the span setting of the unit is 4 to 20 Milli Amps.
6. Depress all three buttons on the front of the WCM to enter the programming mode.
7. Press enter to accept the delay and to proceed to the next display.
8. The display will now read Undo changes Y/N with the N flashing for NO.
9. The left arrow will toggle the cursor between YES and NO.
10. DO NOT SELECT YES UNLESS YOU INTEND TO RECONFIGURE THE UNIT COMPLETELY.
11. Selecting YES would undo all information entered during the programming session and restore the unit to all conditions prior to entering the programming mode.
12. Leave the selection at N.
13. Press ENTER to accept all of the settings and proceed to the next display.
14. The display will now read programme done.
15. Press ENTER TO LEAVE THE PROGRAMME MODE.
16. The unit should now be reading the same value as the grind out unless the water cut has changed.
17. Calibration is complete for a single cut.

TAKE SAMPLE FOR LABORATORY ANALYSIS
Test Equipment: Laboratory Sample bottle minimum 1 litre to achieve a reasonable representative sample. Karl Fischer Coulomb-meter or Equivalent.

Procedure:

a) Ensure that Flow has stopped through the desired stream.
b) Once flow has ceased through the stream, it must be left for 4 - 6 hours to stabilise and any water content to separate.
c) A sample of the Oil must be taken from the Highest point available and as near to the monitor as feasibly possible and taken to the Chemists Laboratory for analysis.(Preferably in the morning).
d) Obtain the BS&W results from this sample from the Chemist's Laboratory.
e) Enter the results of the sample into the unit following the Manufacturer data on Setup and calibration.
f) Allow the temperature to rise or fall by at least 3 Deg C and perform steps c) though to e) again, the unit will auto compensate for the temperature change to establish a constant which will distinguish between temperature effect on the probe and actual contamination by water and sediment.
g) Return the unit to normal operation and resume flow through the stream.
18. Sign-off Work Permit and return to operations.
19. Report all findings to supervision and document in CMMS.
