SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

Before performing any task you must have a PERMIT TO WORK (PTW).
Observe all safety precautions and any additional requirements as per work permit.
Advise control room operators before starting LEVEL CONTROL LOOP and alarm check.

TASKS TO BE PERFORMED:

1. Function check the LEVEL CONTROL LOOP by operating the controller. PCV must be on bypass.
2. Visually check LCV and LIC make sure the valves move smoothly. Ensure that the
LIC is on manual.
3. Function check the following pump low pressure alarms by operating the appropriate switch: LSL, LSLL, LI; and check calibration of all LT. Check level recorder and replace pens and paper if need.
4. Record all set points.
5. Record any abnormality below and advise supervisor.
6. Sign-off on all work orders and permit.
7. Document any abnormality on WO & in CMMS.

TASKS TO BE PERFORMED: 1. Annual Inspection and calibration of Temperature Switch High High. 2. Inspect Switch for any physical damage. 3. Ensure Switch is securely mounted. 4. Check temperature Switch and thermowell are securely fastened. 5. Inspect electrical cable and conduit for any physical damage. 6. Check Switch covers are secure. 7. Isolate Switch. 8. Remove to workshop for calibration if required. 9. Connect multimeter set to read resistance to the switch output terminals. 10. Place sensing bulb in temperature bath and adjust the bath temperature slowly to the specified alarm temperature. 11. Check the switch operates at the correct set point, adjust as required. 12. Ensure that flow has been completely stopped through the stream to be checked. 2.  Make sure the Meter active flag is false by entering a positive value for low flow cut off.
